Common Therapy Types
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps children understand links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, good for anxiety, anger, depression, ADHD, and phobias.
Play Therapy: Uses play (toys, games) as a language for kids to express emotions and work through problems like worries, grief, or school stress.
Art Therapy: Uses creative expression through art to help children communicate and process feelings.
Family Therapy: Involves the whole family to improve communication and resolve conflicts, beneficial for family changes.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Can be adapted for older children (tweens) to help with emotion regulation.
How to Choose
Our therapist has experience in both play-based and talk-based therapies (like CBT) for this age group, as they transition from younger childhood to tween years.
